BR Cohn '16 Sonoma Valley Block 7 Cabernet Sauvignon
A dark rich Cabernet packed with aromas of candied cherry, plum, cassis, and pomegranate. The aromas marry with a powerful spiced oak bouquet of sweet vanilla caramel, pine, rosemary and anise. Big round tannins and bright cherry flavors lead to a long sweet finish.
Block 7 is the oldest of the Entav clone plantings at B.R. Cohn in the late 90's. It sits at the top of our Fox Hill, below Sonoma Mountain and has excellent drainage, reliable breezes off the mountain, and sparse rocky soil. These conditions produce enough stress to keep yields low, and berries small and concentrated.
