BR Cohn '19 Sonoma Valley Block 7 Cabernet Sauvignon
A dark rich Cabernet packed with aromas of toasted oak spice, dark and red fruit notes and hints of vanilla bean. On the palate we note dark blackberry compote, chocolate covered cherries and nutmeg. The finish suggest with dusty mocha tannins and bold cabernet structure with balanced acidity.
Block 7 is the oldest of the Entav clone plantings at B.R. Cohn in the late 90's. It sits at the top of our Fox Hill, below Sonoma Mountain and has excellent drainage, reliable breezes off the mountain, and sparse rocky soil. These conditions produce enough stress to keep yields low, and berries small and concentrated.
