BR Cohn '18 Sonoma Valley Block 7 Cabernet Sauvignon
Enticing and decadent aromas of vanilla, blackberries, and toasted oak. Fruit takes center stage on the palate with intense flavors of plum, raisins, and cloves. The round mid-palate continues with notes of créme, and chocolate and toffee bringing a rich, lengthy finish.
Block 7 is the oldest of the Entav clone plantings at B.R. Cohn from the late 90’s. It sits at the top of our Fox Hill, below Sonoma Mountain and has very good drainage, reliable breezes off the mountain, and sparse rocky soil. These conditions produce enough stress to keep yields low and berries small and concentrated.
