2022 Zinfandel, Moon Mountain, Sonoma County
Aromas of ripe raspberry, strawberry, and plum fruits with hints of white and black pepper. The palate is sweet and spicy with smoky, meaty notes, coupled with Bing and black cherry and glycerin in the mouth. Bright acidity gives the wine a generous length, accenting the fruit.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
This Zinfandel originates from a small, 2.5-acre Moon Mountain vineyard, where head-pruned vines, under minimal irrigation, are forced to seek deep water sources. This stress results in concentrated fruit, expressing the distinct minerality of the rocky soils.
Winemaker Notes
Fermented at a controlled 84 degrees, we employ two daily pumpovers to optimize color and tannin extraction. The resulting wine is then aged for approximately 18 months in a carefully selected blend of French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels, allowing for nuanced flavor development.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair with sweet dates, wrapped in crispy bacon and drizzled with a tangy balsamic glaze. The Zinfandel’s ripe fruit flavors and subtle spice notes complement the sweet and savory interplay of this appetizer.
